Silent Beauty I — DJE Original
Dreamlike and expressive, Silent Beauty I & II capture the quiet poetry found in color, movement, and moments of stillness. Created as a complementary pair, the works share an atmospheric palette and painterly freedom while maintaining distinctly individual personalities.
Silent Beauty I feels soft and meditative, with layered washes of lavender, blue, and green creating an almost garden-like atmosphere. Fleeting passages of white, crimson, and violet emerge through the surface like blossoms reflected in water—recognizable for a moment before dissolving back into abstraction.
Together, the two works create a compelling dialogue between tranquility and energy—one whispering, the other responding. Their shared palette and expressive brushwork connect them visually, while subtle differences give each canvas its own presence.

DJE original art is an expression of life’s journeys and relationships, using shapes, patterns, color and texture as a symbolic interpretation of how things felt at the time. Wood, fabric, paint and plaster on canvas are all in play. For DJE, making art is a path for personal understanding and clarity. If the art speaks to you the viewer, if it captures your imagination, raises questions, evokes emotion, one man’s process may enlighten another’s. In this way, art is personal and transcendent.
CUSTOM COMMISSIONS: Art originals are indeed just that: one-of-a-kind creations. Please know, however, that DJE loves personal commissions. Perhaps an already-sold work of art speaks to you. Maybe you’re intrigued by piece, but desire a change in size, palette, material or content. The creative process can even be collaborative with regard to dimensions and color preferences. Where to begin? The custom process starts with an email.
