 Organic shapes move across the composition in a loosely mirrored rhythm, gathering around a subtle central divide that feels less like a boundary and more like a place of meeting.

Layered plaster and expressive linework give the surface a sculptural quality, while repeated circular motifs create a language of continuity throughout the piece. Soft blue-grey, warm sand, and chalky ivory establish a serene foundation, punctuated by fresh citron green and delicate blush. These unexpected notes of color bring energy to the restrained palette without disturbing its sense of calm.

The composition is densely layered yet remarkably balanced. Clusters expand, overlap, and settle alongside one another, suggesting communities, experiences, and perspectives that are distinct but interconnected. The repetition of circles becomes a visual reminder of what is shared even among differences.

    The Backstory

    DJE original art is an expression of life’s journeys and relationships, using shapes, patterns, color and texture as a symbolic interpretation of how things felt at the time. Wood, fabric, paint and plaster on canvas are all in play. For DJE, making art is a path for personal understanding and clarity.
