Concept-driven and compositionally precise, Surround + Embrace is a study in unity through fragmentation. Twelve individual cells—each with its own language of line, form, and relief—are arranged in a structured grid, coming together to create a cohesive and intentional whole.
Within each panel, raised elements—linear strokes, circular impressions, and geometric clusters—explore variation in rhythm and density. Rendered in an all-white palette, the work relies on shadow, light, and texture to define its presence. The monochromatic restraint heightens the sculptural quality, allowing each raised form to emerge subtly as lighting shifts throughout the day.
