Do You Know” looks backward and forward. The soft palette with restrained bursts of pink and black is reminiscent of Linwood’s earlier work. Yet, the introduction of vintage wax-sealed letter fragments, soft graffiti and layers of paint marks new direction for the artist. This canvas is one of a series completed at a seaside getaway in the spring of 2020, a time of mounting uncertainty. “Do You Know” is an abstract art meditation in patience and ultimately optimism.
